Jun. 2017 Italy (Venice, Amalfi, Naples, Palermo, Rome)

Summary I visited in Europe for the first time wihtout diving.
I planed to choose the Turkish Airlines,
but the flights from Kansai to Istanbul had been canceled before I knew it.
I found a reasonable fee with combination of Air France and KLM Royal Dutch Airline.
It flew via Paris on the way to Venice, and via Amsterdam on the way back from Italy.
Though I didn't think to stop by Rome.
The flight from Palermo to Rome arrives in afternoon
and the fight from Rome to Amsterdam departes in morning.
So I needed to say one night in Rome. One night means just sleeping a night.
It was worthless to sleep a night,
so I prefer to stay two nights and to go around in Rome all day long.
There were some way of domestic transfers, trains, buses but I chose the LCC.
I checked several way to move in Italy by internet.
The web sites of railway companies was not easy for me as sometimes Italian.
Booking air tickets were easy for me since all were similar.
I selected my belongings and reduce the weights the carry-on bag.
And on checked-in luggage with LCC
.

Venice
I moved to Paris with Boeing 777 oprated by the Air France.
The seats were 3-4-3 in a row. I often have got on B777 by SQ,TG, the seats were 3-3-3.
I had the same experience of 3-4-3 by the Emirate.
I wondered that I didn't feel much difference of those seats and aisles.
In Venice It was very simple to enter Euro in the Charles de Gaulle Airport.
There was no immigration card, just stamped my passport.
I struglled to find a bus stop bound for the down town.
It was bright even at nine o'clock when I reached at Piazzale Roma in Venice.
It was supposed that Venice lies at the same latitude as Wakkanai , Japan.
It took long time to find the hotel. though I prepared the map
.

   Amalfi
After two nights in Venice, I departed to the airport by bus in the early morning.
I headed to the Naples Central Station when I arrived in the Naples Airport.
Then I chaged the trains bound for Salerno by the TRENITALIA.
About 10-minute walk from the Salerno Station to the boarding point bound for Amalfi by the Travelmar.
I got to Amalfi by the boat for €8 and 35 minutes.
I received the email from the hotel which said we should hire a porter if we took a heavy luggage and no parking lot.
I tried shorter way of two, but I was suprised the paths seemed like maze.
It was more difficult than Venice to find the way because it was like the ant colony, cubic and not flat.
I have got lost several times, so I gave up to take shorter way.
I changed the longer way which was easy though a long way.

  Naples
I went around in Amalfi while I arrived there and next day morning.
After that, I moved to Positano by boat. Then I looked around there in two and a half hours.
Next I got on the boat bound for Salerno, and headed to the Salerno Station on foot. Returning to Naples.
I bought a ticket between Naples and Salerno for €9.5 with TRENITALIA from vending machine in Naples.
A staff approached me to tell how to buy a ticket when I came to the Salerno Station.
The ticket was the italo for €9.9. Those prices were almost the same.
I was surprised that more than one commpanys exist at one station.
No wonder there was no ticket gate, it had difference compared to Japan.。

I found out my tablet was stolen.
I felt like dangerous atmosphere along a part of street from the station.
When I checked in, I told it to a staff of the hotel.
She kindly took me to the police station, and interpreted Italian for me.
Then I was given the certification of theft.
After came back home, I was able to make the insurance claim.
I couldn't wonger around Naples since I was scared.

 Palermo
I got on the bus boud for the Naples Airport. About one hour flight arriving the Palermo Airport.
Then I got on the bus to the down twon. It was not easy to find the hotel.
No one was in the hotel, I tried to ask the shop which sold goods and games in the first floor.
They kindly called the owner of the hote. I was able to check in.
He said me that he asked by email when I arrive the hotel.
I answered the matter in Naples, it meaned my tablet was stolen.
So I couldn't reply to the email.

After I checked out the hotel, moved to the airport.
The flight from Palermo to Rome took about one hour and 15 minutes.
I moved from the Rome Airport to the Rome Termini railway station by bus.
The owner of the hotel asked by email when I arrive the hotel same as in Palermo.
I answered the matter in Naples, it meaned my tablet was stolen.
So I couldn't reply to the email.
However I was so lucky, the owner came there in another business.
He gave me a map of Rome, and adviced to me how to go around Rome.
Way back
from Rome
I checked out of the hotel in the early morning, headed to the Termini Station.
I got on the train bound for the airport by the TRENITALIA .
The train was more expensive for €14 than the bus for €6, more than double.
Though I thought the train was punctual, compared with the bus by trafic jam.
I came back to home in the next morning via the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
