Summary

I already have bee in Cairns twice and S.S.Yongala, Airlie Beach, White Heaven Beach and Sydne a year and a half ago. Though each of three times were the eastern side of Australia, I would like to be the western side for the first time. I planed to go to Exmouth via Perth, diving in Ningaloo reef, moving by bus, stoped in Monkey-mia and Shark Bay. Then wandering around Perth at last.

Itinerary

There are popular airlines like SQ: the Singapore Airlines and CX: the Cathay Pacific to Perth. I chose CZ: the China Sourthern Airlines as much difference of fare. I needed to stay in Perth one night because I arrived in Perth at night. Moving to Exmouth by domestic flight with the Qanas Airways. Diving two days and staying three nights. After that, heading to Monkey-mai and Shark Bay by bus. Next, coming back to Perth, going around there three days. The midnight flight takes me the Kansai Airport via Guangzhou.

COVID-19

During the travel in Thailand and Maldives in January and February. There were some questionnaires that asked to visit China or Wuhan and health at immigration. I have not experienced these in the last few years. I saw the sensor to detect body temperature everwhere in the airports. I guessed that almost people except for Japanes don't wear masks. More than half people wore masks, about 80% in airports and the airport link. After I came back to Japan, the coronavirus was spreading all over the world. Many countries restricted the immigration due to the Pandemic.

Cancelled

During that time, the Quantas Airways sent me a email which said the flight from Perth to Exmouth was canceled. And to reply to choose a refund or a vouher by the end of March. Then the hotel I booked in Perth also sent me a email which said the hotel didn't open any more. So they said that please contact AGODA for the refund. I was not able to believe the Pandemic went over miraculously in April. I decieded to chancel the international flights and the other hotels. Though I already payed to the hotel in Perth on the way to Exmouth with non-refundable reservation. Agoda helped to take the refund procedures as an exception.。

Refund

Both the China Southern Airlines as international lines and the Qantas as domestic lines refunded me immediately. No cancellation fee of almost hotels I booked, but I have payed a hotel at Perth in advance. Although the hotel suggested to refund.
