| Itenerary | Departing in Narita at night, Arrival in Cairns in the eary morning. Three days diving, including the arrival day. Next day, leaveing in Cairns around noon and coming back in Narita at late afternoon. |

| The flight was canceled due to a typhoon |
A typhoon was coming before departure. The typhoon hit through Japan a
few days before. So the typhoon was weakened. I saw several airplanes took off in the Narita Airport. The Quants Airways told us the flight was canceled due to the fleet. The airplane that was supposed we got landed in the Shin Chitose Airport: Sapporo Airport. The strong wind prevented the airplane to land in the Narita Airport. They told us to come next day again, though we were not sure to come back home that late at night. We discussed the matter with the Quantas, then they provided the Nikko Hotel near the airport for us. I guessed the airplane came from the Shin Chitose Airport soon, and it was departing around noon. We got on the same flight on next day. I watched many people on roof of a bus news on TV, waiting for the rescue work. The flight delayed one day, so three days diving changed into two days, though free for chancel charge. |
