2022 Jul. Miyako Is. and Tarama Is. 　　　　　　　　　　　　

Summary

For the first time in 17 years, Miyako Island and trying again Tarama Island.
Visiting Tarama Island was cancelled last year due to a state of emergency
which was declared half month before departure.
I have planned to go the first half in July, avoiding national holiday and summer holiday.

Itinerary

I have booked the affordable airline ticket last year by the Skymark, but not able to book low price ticke this year.
So I have tried to book a award air ticket by ANA, lucklily I was able to book it. Two days diving in Miyako Island.
After that sightseeing around there and Shimoji Island by rental motorcycle,
because the ferries between Miyako Is. and Tarama Is. were operated every other day.
Diving one day in Tarama Island, back to Miyako Island and staying there one night.
Sightseeing in Miyako Island again, since the flight is late afternoon.

There are many under sea landscape dive sites in Irabu and Shimoji Island.
We are able to see air bubbles which are exhaled by following divers, it looked magnificent and unique.

Miyako Island

The ferries bound for the Tarama Island were operated every other day.
So I had one day open on next day after two days diving.
Going around Ikema, Shimoji and Miyako Island by rental motorcycle.

To Tarama Island

In the past two years or so, I have visited outlying islands around main island by ferry.
Passenger in the ferry is alway almost empty, so I went to the port without reservation.

Miyako Is.

Arrival time in Tarama Is. is about noon, and departure time is 1P.M.
Though I was going to take pictures in the island half a day on arrival and departure.
The heart and strong sunlight were killing me, then I gave up.
Just the Yaeyama Observatory on the arrival day and Furusato sea side park on the departure day.

Last Day

The departure time was late afternoon, I had enough time to do anything.
Same as in Tarama Island, the heart and strong sunlight privent me to do anything.
So I moved to the Miyako Airport a little earier, and relaxed there.
